Claudio Guillén on His Father’s Lyrical Work

The aim of this article is to present Claudio Guillén’s vision of the lyrical work of his father, the poet Jorge Guillén, from a critical perspective. The comparatist rarely spoke on the subject; he did so in two tributes to the writer held in Barcelona and Lisbon in 1994 and 1998. His speeches, entitled «Algunos recuerdos» and “Con Jorge Guillén”, will be the fundamental source of this work, along with additional correspondence, unpublished family letters with important information on the subject.
