In the Archivo Histórico Municipal of Ubeda, there is a document, among many others related to the theatre, written by Juan de Cotillas and dated in this city on 18th August 1608. The document, like this study, is divided into two parts. The first, one is about paying off a debt among actors (Alonso de Heredia and Maria de Rojas are the debtors; Pedro de Valdés and Jerónima de Burgos and Juan de la Cruz are the creditors), who paid in kind. I the second parta, there is a report on the content of four boxes wich is used to pay off the debt. It is the whole wardrobe of a theatre company. This shows the economic importance the actors gave to all their theatrical equipment.
