This article deals with a Poetics treatise, dated in 1784. The manuscripts, thas is in the National Library of Madrid, had gone so far unnoticed for the researchers. Its interest lies in several reasons: it is the only one poetics (together with that of Burriel) for the Age of Enlightenment that pays attention on the concept of «enthusiasm», whose divine origin denies, defending on the contrary its rational and human cause as the enlightened interpretation did. Its main non declared sources are: Luzán, the French Encyclopédie and Batteux. It constitutes a precious fact to confirm the controversial influence of Luzán on the eighteeen century Spanish literary theory, as well as to underline how often French encyclopedia was followed by Spanish authors of those years.
