Cultural review magazine with a nationalist character published in Madrid from 1919 to 1930, directed by Blanca de los Ríos. Its main objective was to recover prestige for Spanish culture at home as well as in the former Latin American colonies, during the peculiar juncture that came about after the end of First World War. The magazine preferred themes were History, Art and Literature. It also bypassed the cultural and literary events of its time, except those aspects that assisted its objective of homeland aggrandizement. It hosted renowned writers, authors with prestige and personalities from the media and political sphere, all of them with a similar viewpoint on Spain and its cultural legacy. It granted special attention to feminine collaboration, Spanish as well as Latin American. Raza Española was the most prestigious latinamericanist magazine of its time.
