In this article is restored the journalistic version of this tale appeared in a forgiven journal at the end of the century: Letras de Molde (1900). In the tale, the autobiographical reflections are interwoven with others about the Spanish literary situation. This is a balance of the development of him and of his generation, which was faced up with the «modernists». «Reflejo, confidencias» is a Clarín's painful literary testament, who died a few months later.
